Oscar Brand - Childrens Concert

Review by Diego Cajal

Oscar Brand's "Children's Concert" is a delightful collection of songs that will bring joy to both children and adults alike. The album features a range of classic children's tunes, including "Old MacDonald Had a Farm," "Mary Had a Little Lamb," and "The Wheels on the Bus," as well as some lesser-known gems like "Little Red Caboose" and "The Erie Canal."

Brand's warm and playful voice is perfectly suited to these songs, and his guitar playing is both lively and skillful. The album also features a variety of instruments, including banjo, mandolin, and harmonica, which add depth and texture to the arrangements.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Froggie Went A-Courtin'," which features Brand's humorous storytelling and some catchy call-and-response vocals. Another highlight is "The Fox," which has a fun and funky groove that will get kids dancing and singing along.
