Budapest, the fifth studio album by French band Poni Hoax, is a wild and eclectic ride through various genres and moods. From the opening track "All the Girls" with its funky bassline and sultry vocals, to the dreamy and atmospheric "The Music Never Dies", the album takes the listener on a journey through disco, electronic, and rock-infused soundscapes.
One of the standout tracks, "The Wild", is a dark and brooding anthem that builds to an explosive climax, while "Everything Is Real" has a more upbeat and danceable vibe with its catchy chorus and infectious rhythm. The album also features collaborations with guest vocalists such as Casey Spooner of Fischerspooner on "A State of War" and Olivia Merilahti of The Dø on "The Greatest Love of All".
