Je n'ai pas encore reussi a me procurer les deux premiers albums de Tania Maria, Apresentamos Tania Maria e Olha Quen Chega, produits au Bresil avant son depart pour l'Europe. Tania Maria a la particularite d'avoir fait la presque integralite de sa carriere en Europe et aux Etats-Unis et donc de n'etre pas consideree comme une artiste bresilienne a part entiere. J'ai decouvert la chanteuse via l'album No Comment (1995) qui est a coup sur plus Jazz que bresilien. Forbidden Colors (1989) m'a laisse un peu perplexe et un peu de marbre. Dommage, car "It's Only Love", le premier morceau, entre Samba et Bossa Nova, est assez excitant meme s'il est chante en anglais. J'ai du attendre le quatrieme morceau, "O Bom E", hybride entre Reggae et Choro, chante en portugais, pour m'enthousiasmer a nouveau. La grande force Forbidden Colors est de proposer un materiel musical varie. Tania Maria a participe a l'ecriture des neuf pistes de l'album, un peu inegal a mon gout. Je ne suis toujours pas assez Jazz pour me laisser emporter..., mais quelques fulgurances font la difference
