Review by Stephanie Palmer

The American 20th Century in 100 Songs by Peter Stampfel is a remarkable collection of classic American tunes that have defined the country's music scene over the past century. The album features some of the most iconic songs, including "Over the Rainbow," "Take the 'A' Train," and "Blue Suede Shoes," performed by Stampfel in his signature style.

Stampfel's unique approach to these timeless classics is refreshing and captivating. His raw and unpolished vocals add an element of authenticity to the songs, bringing them to life in a way that few other artists can. Stampfel's use of traditional folk instruments, such as the banjo and fiddle, further adds to the album's charm and appeal.

One of the most impressive aspects of The American 20th Century in 100 Songs is the way Stampfel manages to capture the essence of each song while still putting his own spin on it. He pays homage to the original artists and their contributions to American music, while also making the songs his own.
