You just taught an old dog a new trick. Kudos!! Thought I knew it all. You just socked me in the jaw. Wow. VERY COOL!!! Stan THE MAN!!!!
I first heard this song when I saw the movie"Slam Dance" in 1987. It was on VHS and I had just rented it from our local video store (kiddies, anyone remember video stores? even know what VHS is?) I saw it with my 1st wife and her aunt who was visiting us from Bolivia. I can't recall exactly where this song was placed but I do remember it was a great film noir. My favorite scene is where Tom Hulce's character is talking about his murdered gf with this older rich lady when all of a sudden he sees a picture of the dead gf and the rich older lady together, the picture was sitting on a table next to him. She - the older lady - says to him "Love? You don;'t know what love is". that's when he finally realizes his gf had been 2 timing him. Awesome film!
One of my favorites. Everything about it. The lyrics,the sound..the back story. This will be rediscovered ,I bet.

Wow. Thanks for uploading. This movie and soundtrack one of my all time favorite. I lost my original cassette tape. Have been searching for a re-issue for almost 2 decades!!! At least, I can start creating a playlist songs at a time. Peace.

I searched for this back in the non google internet days and the internet would only stare blankly at me in return. then I found a japanese import of the Slam Dance movie soundtrack and paid $60 for it and regret none of it. GOt into both Stan Ridgway and the Fibonaccis that way.
