On Stage by Feodor Chaliapin is a magnificent album that showcases the vocal prowess of one of the greatest bass singers of all time. The album is a compilation of live recordings from Chaliapin's performances in various opera houses around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Royal Opera House in London.
The album features some of Chaliapin's most iconic performances, including his rendition of "Song of the Flea" by Modest Mussorgsky and "La Calunnia" from Gioachino Rossini's The Barber of Seville. Chaliapin's rich and resonant voice is simply mesmerizing, and he effortlessly captures the emotional depth and complexity of each song.
The album also includes some lesser-known pieces, such as "The Old Corporal" by Sergei Rachmaninoff and "The Song of the Volga Boatmen," which add a unique flavor to the overall listening experience.
