Benny Carter and Charlie Mingus have joined forces to produce the exceptional album, Crazy Rhythm: The Midnight Sun Will Never Set II BS. The album is a beautiful combination of jazz and swing music, with each track being a testament to the skill and creativity of these two legendary musicians.
The album opens with the upbeat and energetic track "Crazy Rhythm," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The listener is immediately drawn in by the tight rhythm section and the fluid saxophone lines. This is followed by the intricate and complex "What Is This Thing Called Love," which showcases the virtuosity of both Carter and Mingus.
The album also includes several ballads, such as "Body and Soul" and "You're Driving Me Crazy," which allow the listener to appreciate the more sensitive side of these musicians. The arrangements are lush and full, with the orchestra providing a beautiful backdrop for the soloists.
