Review by Raul Colon

Deafheaven's "Roads to Judas" is a daring and intense album that pushes the boundaries of black metal and shoegaze. With its soaring guitars, blistering drums, and guttural vocals, the album is a tour de force of raw emotion and sonic power. The band's ability to seamlessly blend different genres and moods is on full display here, as they move from moments of crushing heaviness to shimmering beauty with ease. The songs are epic in scope, with each track building to a cathartic climax that leaves the listener breathless. Above all, "Roads to Judas" is a testament to Deafheaven's uncompromising vision and their willingness to take risks and explore new territory. This is a must-listen for fans of heavy music that isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.
