Review by Esa Isopahkala

Definitive Philadelphia 1973 by The Who is an outstanding album that showcases the band's electrifying live performance. The album features some of the band's most iconic tracks, such as "Won't Get Fooled Again," "Pinball Wizard," and "My Generation." The album was recorded during the band's Quadrophenia tour in Philadelphia, and the energy of the live performance is palpable throughout the entire album.

The album is a must-have for any fan of The Who, as it captures the band at the height of their powers. The guitar work of Pete Townshend is particularly impressive, and his solos on tracks like "Baba O'Riley" and "Young Man Blues" are simply breathtaking. Roger Daltrey's vocals are also exceptional, and he delivers powerful performances on every track.

Crazy good stuff ????
Nr 1 rockband.
Saw them 1972 in Amsterdam, verry good and verry verry loud. Only band that comes near in volume was Thin Lizzy. Thanks for this.
Greetings from Holland
Where is Sea and Sand? That was one of the best of the tracks, Wont Get Fooled Again too.
Show cases The Who!! These recordings used for the 1973 King Biscuit Flower Hour( I think some were from various dates), really count!! The way they were recorded, and played cut through in spectacular fashion! !! I wonder if this bass, and drums and all, is so well reproduced in part, because this was recorded for Quadrophonic Stereo? I put a lot of miles on these '73 Philly recordings on car stereos, and period home sound equipment. These versions and everything about them is riveting!! My favorite My Generation here, next to Live At Leeds version. Really listen to Pete, Roger, John and Keith here, and on good equipment turned up comfortably loud!! Awesome man awesome!!
Best live recordings ive heard of John's bass bombings , usually the ox is mixed down but this is awesome, thanks for sharing.
Great Show, I had a two color vinyl double boot of this, LOUD is the only way listen.
