17:27 and 3:19 would be hands down my favorite guess i can invision someone walking up a beaten path up to a huge haunted mansion
Eraserhead has some great Organ Work on the Original Soundtrack to the Film.
According to to the American Theatre Organ Society Journal (February 1981) this music was recorded on the theatre pipe organ located in Lorin Whitney's recording studio, Glendale, California. The organ comprised of a 3 manual, 14 rank Robert Morton built in 1928 for the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, CA, expanded to 4 manuals and 34 ranks of pipes using additional Wurlitzer components. The organ was removed from the studio in 1978 and sold to the organist Paul Mickelson who made several recordings on it. The organ is understood to have since been broken up. It's a great pity, as this fine recording shows how versatile it was.
Oh yes
Listening to this while doing homework. 17:27 really gave me the chills. That was awesome.
Éste tipo de composiciones musicales a órgano son las que más me agradan, pues tienen un tinte oscuro, un toque viejo y elegante.
The non-music part / sound collage "Sound Trip Through The Catacombs" (Track 6) is apparently missing. Not the most important part of the album though, probably - except you need some really weird stuff for the next Halloween party... ;-)
A haunting arrival into the music world beyond any contest ... a track of gold
Such sweet dark memories, and such regrets of not buying these gems when they were advertised in the Captain Company section of FAMOUS MONSTERS back in the days of my being a Monster Kid in more than name only...happily, they're available in a box set on Verne Langdon's website, run by his estate. I'll have the entire set one day...
¡Marvelous!
Still have my vinyl original -- purchased at the Walt Disney World Haunted Mansion in1975. My poor parents had to endure my own Phantom-inspired compositions on our home organ for years after that.
This record is amazing.
Is it just me, or does that organ phantom look like Lon Chaney as the Phantom of the Opera?
I have this on vinyl ;)
