Artillery's latest studio album, BACK, is a powerful and intense offering that showcases the band's signature thrash metal sound. The album features ten tracks that are full of energy, with fast-paced riffs and pounding drums that will get your blood pumping.

The album opens with the track "The Devil's Symphony," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its heavy guitar riffs and aggressive vocals. Other standout tracks include "In Thrash We Trust," which features a catchy chorus and a memorable guitar solo, and "The Ghost of Me," which has a more melodic sound but still packs a punch.

Throughout the album, the band's musicianship is on full display, with each member contributing to the overall sound. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with intricate solos and blistering riffs that will leave you in awe.

I like the music. But the vocals take getting used to.

After a disbandment in 1991, Artillery returned in 1998, but the reunion lasted only 2 years: during the period, 1999's B.A.C.K. was released. It's a D-tuned Power/Thrash Metal offering that sounds cleaner, but melodically indistinguishable from the band's past offerings, and with the vocalist's hoarser vocals. Once again, the band refuses to craft accessible songs and grooves, relying over pure aggression and dizzy songwriting instead of melody.Highlights: "Cybermind".
