Review by RuyaDizayn kRaL

The album "I Believe in Movin Year of the Cat" by an unknown artist is a refreshing and unique blend of various musical genres. The album takes the listener on a journey through different moods and emotions, from the upbeat and infectious rhythm of "Movin" to the introspective and soulful "Year of the Cat."

The album starts with "Movin," a highly energetic track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is a perfect blend of funk, rock, and pop, with catchy lyrics and a lively beat that will make anyone want to dance along. The next track, "Believe," slows things down a bit and showcases the artist's vocal range and emotional depth.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Year of the Cat." The song is a beautiful ballad that showcases the artist's songwriting skills and ability to convey complex emotions through music. The lyrics are poignant and thought-provoking, and the melody is hauntingly beautiful.

My gawd....memories!!!!!! I grew up in Michigan in the 60's & 70's. Major snowmobiling back then!
At the Nortth bay winter carnival they were giving out 45 records with these songs on it. Great memories.
I literally have had this song in my head for over 40 years. Had the 45 as a kid and played it all the time. Lost it alloooong time ago. Thanks for posting this. Have not heard the song in years!!So good!!! All makes sense too because we owned Arctic Cat snowmobiles when I was young…
The neighbor girl I used to pal around with as a child had this 45. We both loved “The Year of the Cat” song & used to play it on her record player. They had an Arctic Cat Puma at the time. Ah, the memories. Thanks for sharing!
My Great Grandpa owned a Cat dealership in the U.P. Of Michigan until 1995. When I worked there, I went through an old box he had in his office, and the was about 7 of these 45’s. He told me to take em home, keep them. I remember Year of the Cat clearly after 25 years. I can’t believe it’s on YouTube, just because of how obscure it is.
I remember billboards in the small Northern Michigan town where I lived in the mid-1970s and went to the 3rd - 5th grades. This was the same time that Al Stewart released hit with "The Year of the Cat." Having never heard the two vintage songs in the video above, I remember trying to determine which came first -- the ad campaign or the hit record. :) It seemed to me that it couldn't have been a coincidence. But now I know it most likely was!
Just picked up a 45 with sleeve on ebay ?
I first heard this song on a commercial for Arctic Cat in 1970, but it was more of an infomercial that they didn't have very much of in that time. It starts out as a guy at a cocktail party getting lost & bored with the conversation and he drifts off in his mind to the outdoors on a pristine countryside driving his new Arctic Cat sled. If I remember, it played for about 15-20 minutes. The song has stuck in my mind ever since...45 years. Good to hear it again.
Thanks for this.
We had this as our first snowmobile and I had this 45 record.
That was a great cat in its time.
Hi folks.... This was originally a commercial jingle, but expanded in this version to make a 45rpm single, which was a promo item for Arctic Cat. The principal vocalists are myself and Dale Menten. The second song, "I Believe In Movin
Gawd these were good times racin' cats....poo poo'd ski doo's, yamaha's and scorpion's........hard core racin'.......
Was this a commercial?
that is a 1969 panther
Well, it ain't the "Year Of The Cat" I'm used to, but interesting nonetheless.
