Review by Bryant McGill

Knee Deep In The Blues is a classic album by the New Zealand singer-songwriter Tommy Adderley. Released in 1961, the album showcases Adderley's smooth vocals and his ability to blend various genres of music into a cohesive sound.

The album features a mix of original compositions and covers, including the title track "Knee Deep In The Blues," which became a hit for Adderley. Other standout tracks include "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry (Over You)" and "I'm Gonna Move to the Outskirts of Town," both of which showcase Adderley's bluesy style.

One of the strengths of the album is its production, which is clean and crisp without being overproduced. Adderley's voice is front and center, supported by a tight band that includes saxophone, piano, guitar, and drums.
