Review by Sean Courtney

The album "Were You Scared Frrreaked Out" by Starving Weirdos is a unique and experimental work of art. The duo from California has created a soundscape that is both haunting and mesmerizing. The album is a mix of ambient, noise, and drone music that takes the listener on a journey through a world of strange and eerie sounds.

The tracks on the album are diverse and range from the slow and hypnotic "Of the Sea" to the frenzied and chaotic "Circus of the Dead". The use of unconventional instruments such as waterphones, gongs, and metal objects adds an otherworldly quality to the music. The album is a testament to the duo's creativity and willingness to take risks.

About Starving Weirdos

Experimental drone and noise duo (sometimes expanded to a trio or quartet). Most of their releases are devoid of information or instrumentation, although their sound palette as detailed on 2009s "Into An Energy" comprised: vocals, flutes, percussion, synthesizers, sampler, processing, saxophones, violin, cello, percussion, keyboards, sampler, and sundry other instruments. Their music can range from abstract electronic dronescapes through to intense sonic walls, via Krautrock influenced experimental rock to free jazz avant-garde.
