About The Sounds Like Us
This Duluth, Minnesota rock band of the mid-Sixties was mainly a cover band but it had a substantial hit with "Clock On The Wall b/w Outside Chance" which covered both Winnipeg's The Guess Who and The Turtles. Fontana picked this up after the initial issue on the tiny local Jill Ann label.

Sounds like shit.
The Chesterfield Kings covered this version and I love it ?
Best vocal of this song, though Warren's version is growing on me.
Great Cover ! RON, our oldies station plays your music often! - I would love to speak with you - Could you possibly email me? ewetoons@gmail.com -- Thanks !!
nice cover. hearing it for the first time. worth downloading!
Ron, I owned your 52 Chev for a time. Still my favorite car. I see Jim from time to time. I met Butch a number of years ago now when he was having health issues and he was a very special guy. Bob was a dear friend and a free spirit in the nicest of terms. That time of our lives were the best. That band was extremely good and put on a great show. I hope all is well with you.
I like it better than the turtles version!
This single was originally issued on the Duluth JILL ANN label and was a modest hit in the Twin Cities too prior to Fontana picking it up (A side was "Clock On The Wall")
Not bad, but The Turtles original version is the best!
This guitar solo is superior to the Turtles' organ solo.
My name is Chris Bergquist and this is my Dad's old band!! I'm happy to see it up on the internet! Great song!!
Such a great garage Singel, love to play it on my old Thorens.
Wow, this a great surprise for me. I am the lead player for the Sounds Like US and this was our recording. The guitar used was my favorite a double neck Mosrite. Twelve string on the top and six string on the bottom. There are just two of us remaining, with Butch (drummer), Bob (bass) having left us. We are so proud to be part of that era of music. I still play even at 66 years old.
Good version, mas Zevon´s one is still my favorite...
