Review by Pedro Martinez

The album "What More Can I Say" by Notations is a soulful and groovy journey that brings back the classic sounds of the '70s. The Chicago-based group showcases their impressive vocal range and musicianship throughout the record, which consists of ten tracks that blend funk, R&B, and soul.

The opening track "A New Day" sets the tone for the album with its upbeat tempo and catchy chorus. "Trying My Best to Find Her" and "I Can't Stop" are standout tracks that showcase the group's smooth harmonies and soulful instrumentation.

The album also features a cover of the classic hit "Superpeople" by The Notations, which is given a fresh and modern twist. The group's original compositions, such as "You Should Know by Now" and "I'm Still Here," demonstrate their songwriting skills and ability to create memorable hooks.

“We could do nothing but sit. Sit and wait for the gunfire and explosions to subside. The entire time we sat in that building, we could hear the bandits taunting us over the radio, mixed with the screams of our dying brothers in the streets. By the time night had passed and dawn was showing itself, we moved from the train station to the outskirts of the city, passing the corpses of our soldiers and the charred corpses of tanks. After that night, I feel like I never left hellish place”
-Arkady Babachenko, ‘One Soldiers War’
