Some Ember - Magnetic

Review by محمد درويش

Magnetic, the latest album from Some Ember, is a hauntingly beautiful collection of songs that showcases the band's unique blend of dream-pop, shoegaze, and post-punk. The album is a continuation of the band's exploration of the human condition, and it delves deep into the darker corners of the psyche.

From the opening track, "Hotel of Lost Light," to the closing song, "Eternal Bloom," Magnetic takes the listener on a journey through a world of melancholy and introspection. The lush, atmospheric soundscapes are complemented by Dylan Travis's ethereal vocals, which float above the music like a ghostly presence.

The album is filled with standout tracks, including "The Thrill of the Void," which features a driving beat and hypnotic guitar riff, and "Wired," which is a slow-burning ballad that builds to a stunning crescendo. Other highlights include "The Fire," with its eerie synths and haunting vocals, and "In Bloom," which features a pulsing bassline and shimmering guitars.
