About The Renegades
The Renegades was formed in Birmingham, England in the early 1960s. They never succeeded in their home country, but had a successful career both in Finland and in Italy during the 1960s.
Their first single "Cadillac" was released in Finland in January 1964 by . The song was credited to be written by the band itself, but it was actually a remake of "Brand New Cadillac" by . The band performed in Finland for the first time in October 1964. They intended to tour for three weeks, but due to success and demand, they ended up touring for seven weeks. They released the total of four albums in Finland, the last one was released in 1966, after which the band relocated to Italy. The group was disbanded in 1971, even though they did appear in the "Back to the Sixties" events in Finland in the 2000s.

Da ging sie ab die Post mit Luzy, mit Willi, mit Charly & Roswita! Geile Mucke in den 60iger. Zwar nicht im Cadillac und auch nicht in einem Käfer, aber auf dem "Dänzfloor"!

A band from Birmingham, England. They recorded their first stuff here in Finland in mid 1960´s and almost lived here for great demand. Later succes in the Netherlands, Italy and so on. Not really a Nordic band, but in some way similar to The Beatles, which started its career in Germany. However, the Renegades was never big in the United Kingdom.
