Queta & Teo's album Canten Surf is a refreshing blend of traditional surf rock and Latin rhythms. The duo's unique sound is evident in every track, from the upbeat opener "Surf en la Playa" to the mellow "Olas del Mar" and the catchy "Cantando en la Arena." The album features both instrumental and vocal tracks, showcasing Queta & Teo's musical versatility. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with intricate riffs and solos that transport the listener to a sunny beach in Southern California. The lyrics are mostly in Spanish, but even non-Spanish speakers will appreciate the infectious melodies and grooves. Canten Surf is a must-listen for anyone who loves surf rock, Latin music, or just wants to feel like they're on vacation.

About Queta & Teo

Queta and Teo, pioneers of Spanish children's music, sang excellent melodies, which were cool and pleasant to the ears. Queta (Enriqueta) and Teo (Mateo) were a brother and sister duo from the island of Mallorca, and were 7 and 10 years old. In the mid-'60s, they sang songs in Catalan, composed and arranged by their father (Nicolau Pizà). Their story began in 1964, hired by the Catalan record label Edigsa (for the Catalan language) and Vergara, its subsidiary, for recordings in Spanish. They also recorded for the Discophon and EMI labels.

Entranyables. Van fer cançons amb dignitat que van fer feliç a molta gent. I pioners! qui feia surf a Espanya l'any 64? Ah, i ells van ser els primers també en cantar a Dylan. Meravellosos. I un record per a Queta, que se n'ha anat a cantar al cel.
Molt bons i divertits! :-)
Me recuerdan a Bip et Veronique. No desbancan a Maria Cinta, que tiene una de las mejores canciones de la historia de la música española: El llimoner. Pero qué versiones más brutales, especialmente la de Dylan.
