The album Bad Cover Version by Pulp is a collection of covers that showcases the band's unique take on some of the most iconic songs in music history. From the opening track "The Beatles and the Stones" to the closing number "Last Day of the Miners' Strike," Pulp's interpretations of these classics are both inventive and captivating.
The standout tracks on the album include the band's rendition of David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust," which features frontman Jarvis Cocker's trademark wit and charm. The cover of "Common People" by fellow Britpop band Blur is another highlight, with Cocker's vocals adding a new layer of emotion to the song.
One of the album's strengths is its ability to blend different genres seamlessly. The band's cover of "I Can't Help Myself" by The Four Tops is transformed into a haunting ballad, while their take on Talking Heads' "Road to Nowhere" is a frenetic, danceable number.

About Pulp
British indie rock/Britpop band founded in 1978 in Sheffield. Sole constant member is who formed the band while at school, and led the band through a series of stylistic changes and numerous band members until finding success and a stable lineup by the early 90s. They split in 2002, and reformed in 2011 for a series of reunion concerts before going on hiatus again in 2013. It was announced in 2022 that Pulp was to reunite and play some shows in 2023, as confirmed by Jarvis Cocker at a Q&A for his memoir, "Good Pop, Bad Pop
