About Nightmares On Wax
The longest serving artist on the Warp Records roster. Originally founded in 1988 by George "DJ E.A.S.E." Evelyn and Kevin "Boywonder" Harper. Harper left before the release of Smokers Delight. When playing live they were also joined by MC Toz 180 and guitarist Chris Dawkins.

Man, I'm Canadian and I love this shit. I think I still have my 12" around here somewhere of this track. When I first heard bleep, like many people I was like "what the fuck is this?" Man, wish I could tell you the imagery this stuff evoked in my mind. It was something like synesthesia. It was stuff I'd never heard before and it was like my consciousness what blown wide open in this paradigm-busting sort of music. Warp's other offspring, Sweet Exorcist and Tricky Disco, did the same to me.
WARP Are Top Notch Sheffield at its best yet again concerning good electronic music going back to Human League years
Reminds me of RIcky's nightclub, Leeds, 1990 - when this track came on the whole club seemed to explode. There was definitely a lot of local pride for N.O.W. and this banger always blew the place up. A seminal & unique tune that still does the business 30 years later.

I was a kid when this came out. Got it on a Deep Heat compilation on vinyl (which I still have!) This riddim amazed me! All the early Warp releases were on fucking point! Middle aged now and still love it. Absolute classic!
