About Jonas Hellborg
Swedish bassist in the jazz / fusion genre born June 7, 1958 in Gothenburg. He has, among others, played with John McLaughlin, Bill Laswell, Shawn Lane, Buckethead, Jens Johansson and Anders Johansson. He debuted internationally with a solo bass performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1981, where he introduced his groundbreaking slapping technique.
