Review by Adam Pettingill

Live At The Los Angeles Forum 4 25 70 by Jimi Hendrix is a must-have for any fan of the iconic guitarist. The album captures Hendrix's electrifying performance at the Los Angeles Forum on April 25, 1970, and showcases his unmatched talent and showmanship.

The album features classic Hendrix tracks like "Purple Haze," "Foxey Lady," and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)," all performed with a raw energy and intensity that only Hendrix could bring to the stage. The setlist also includes some lesser-known gems like "I Don't Live Today" and "Machine Gun," which are given new life in a live setting.

Hendrix's guitar playing is nothing short of mesmerizing throughout the album, with his signature sound and style on full display. His bandmates, Billy Cox on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums, provide a solid foundation for Hendrix's virtuosic playing, and the three musicians are clearly in sync throughout the performance.

The sound quality of the album is excellent, with the instruments and vocals all coming through clearly. The live setting adds an extra dimension to the music, with the crowd's cheers and applause adding to the atmosphere.

I think Hear My Train A Comin from this show is one of Jimi's greatest live performances. The whole concert is great but that's the high point for me. Incredible guitar playing with Jimi at his best.
Thanks for posting this better sounding version. I have the single disc version on Luna. " Scuse Me While I Kiss The Sky". My version is 72:17, with all the between song tuning up and audience noise cut out... about 13:30 worth. But, this version has it beat soundwise. Yours sounds closer to the stage. To me, it's not as intense as the classic 69 LA show, that had more time devoted to jamming, but in 70 he had more and different songs here to play. He only played concerts in 70 on weekends, so he could spend the whole rest of the week in his studio. He said that he didn't care for the feeling he was turning into a human jukebox.
I love here my train a comming
9999999!!!
Goin,...no?
Unbelievable.
Wow. Never heard this album before now. Every he solos in “Machine Gun”, it’s a revelation. Always different, and like a great artist, he reaches into his G-dself and pulls out something staggering and profound and relatable. RIP Jimi.
He's literally inventing Heavy Metal on this version of Ezy Rider. Unreal.
BEAUTIFUL... "JIMI HENDRIX"...Peace and Love...True Love ??
Jimi on fire with his best band- Cox on bass and Mitchell on drums. He progressed so much from '67 to '70 it was almost unbelievable especially considering how great he was in '67. Fanflippingtastic. Considering his trajectory it is almost incomprehensible where he would've been by '75 or '80.

ЭТО Великий Гитарист ,,, В РОССИИ его многие слушают
Almost to the point where
you can go deaf or have
nosebleeds.
I love the tuneups and the distortion .. also the raw power of his Marshall amps screaming in pain from being turned up full 10 and his shear power strumming
