Review by Mark Whiting

Live At The Leadmill 1987 by Jass is an electrifying album that captures the energy and rawness of the band's live performance. Recorded at the iconic Leadmill venue in Sheffield, UK, the album showcases Jass at their peak, delivering a set of high-octane punk rock with a dash of post-punk and new wave influences.

The album features a mix of original Jass songs and covers of classic punk and new wave tunes, such as The Clash's "London Calling" and The Jam's "Town Called Malice." The band's tight musicianship and frontman John Robb's charismatic vocals make for a thrilling listening experience that will have you bouncing around your room.

What makes Live At The Leadmill 1987 stand out is the palpable sense of urgency and rebellion that permeates every track. Jass were a band that had something to say, and they said it with passion and conviction. Whether they were railing against Thatcherism, consumer culture, or the music industry itself, Jass never pulled their punches.
