Review by Office Manager

Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass' album "Spanish Flea What Now My Love" is a vibrant and lively collection of Latin-infused tracks that showcase the band's signature sound. From the upbeat and catchy "Flamingo" to the sultry and romantic "Winds of Barcelona," this album is a testament to the band's versatility and skill.

The album's title track, "Spanish Flea," is perhaps one of the most recognizable songs from the Tijuana Brass' catalog, with its infectious trumpet melody and catchy rhythm. Other standout tracks include "Tijuana Taxi," a playful and upbeat tune that perfectly captures the spirit of the band's hometown, and "A Taste of Honey," a smooth and sensual ballad that features Alpert's masterful trumpet playing.

The band was formed after the Whipped Cream & Other Delights album was released, when live shows made a real band necessary. This group disbanded in 1969. The band members were: - Trumpet, vocals - Trumpet - Trombone - Guitar - Drums - Piano - Bass In 1974, Herb recorded a new album, You Smile-The Song Begins and formed a new band to tour and promote the album. The second band was known as Herb Alpert & the T.J.B. A third incarnation of the group came together to tour after Herb released the Bullish album in 1984. It is interesting to note that studio musicians probably played on most (if not all) of the albums, since it seems not all of the band members played on the recordings, even after the bands were formed. There are various sources (including the liner notes of the new TJB CD releases) stating that Herb used session musicians to get the exact sound he wanted.

So beautiful....Herb
C'est du Gilbert Bécaud avec une bonne dose d'adrénaline. Ça s'écoute bien.
This is 1967!?
GENIANY HERB
This music makes me so happy I feel like crying with joy. Tresured memories go through my head of simple and happy times. Thank you Herb Albert for creating such beautiful arragement. My apreciation to the componer also. For me this a masterpiece
Good songs that stick in your mind.
Very well played, really captures the spirit of the song. One of my favorites through the years.
Aaahhh yes. Those were the days. You know what I mean.
So Sorry To Hear About Bob Edmunson !
Herb and the guys were the only group to record WNML at an uptempo pace. The arrangement is simple but the musicianship superb...Herb's haunting trumpet, Nick Creole's drumming and John Pisano's guitar solo make this song one of the best if not the best the group ever recorded...
Great
Et maintenant?
Great song, loved this as a kid and still do. Dubbed here of course with the album version of the song, but we'll let that slide.
NOFX did it better.
Wonderful,evocative!!
I was born in 61 and for me this one particular sound of the sixties is the most evocative, by far. Can't give any real reason why it is so screamingly standout alongside all the other great music from back then, but I think I'm glad it does. .
One of the top five (5) wealthiest musicians alive. Did it owning A&M Records ?
Just played it at .75 pitch..... mind-blowing!
Alpert is also the co-founder of A&M Records with Jerry Moss.
De origen franc"es el tema y excelente interpretacion
Even tho none of them were Latin some of the members could pass as looking Latin lol
