Review by Jen Bowman

Blues Theme by Davie Allan & The Arrows is an exceptional album that showcases the band's mastery of the blues genre. The album features a collection of ten tracks, each of which is a testament to the band's ability to create music that is both soulful and engaging.

The album opens with the title track, "Blues Theme," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The track is a bluesy instrumental that features Davie Allan's impressive guitar work. The band's ability to create a mood and a feeling with their music is evident throughout the album, and the listener can't help but be drawn in by the music.

Other standout tracks on the album include "Blue's Trip," "Bongo Party," and "Theme from The Wild Angels." Each of these tracks showcases the band's ability to create music that is both catchy and memorable. The album also features a cover of "Baby Please Don't Go," which is a great addition to the album and showcases the band's ability to take a classic blues track and make it their own.

great tune!
I just discovered this too cool, wish I could go to one of their gigs.
got to see him in '99 backed by the Phantom Surfers, and he was still badass
MY Man Davie
The original title of this song is 'The Dark Alley', taken from the movie 'The Wild Angels'.
Outstanding. IMO, by far the best instrumental/guitar version if this song. This album and David Allan himself, are totally underrated, understated, unappreciated, and unknown to not only the masses, but even to most current day guitarists to whom Mr Allan remains unknown. Basically lost in time over the past 50+ years. AND, Davie Allan is STILL around, STILL rocking that Strat 60 YEARS later the last I heard!
Hopefully people will again hear/re-discover this guitar instrumental and start playing Davies tunes again!
Because I KNOW that guitarists can all appreciate this tune. If not at first, just sit down and play along with Davie on this tune or ANY of his recordings. It's a technical piece, complex, fast, and extremely hard to nail it as Davie does with apparent ease. And remember, your tone must be absolutely CLEAN. NO effects at all, just a little reverb and that's it, so no hiding your mistakes in all that distortion and other crap! Lol
So have at it, enjoy yourself on this composition of Strat genius, and good luck! ? "J"

*** PS.
If you like this tune, you'll like MANY others he did. Check out his legendary version of the William Tell Overture!!

*** PPS!...
Remember that "The Arrows" of Davie Allan & the Arrows, is essentially his backing group. Allan used others to back his guitar playing, and not just the Arrows. Many people don't realize that. So you can fond recordings of him without the Arrows, and with different groups backing him. And the line-up making up the Arrows changed numerous times. This era of 65 & 66 was especially good IMO.
Lastly: If you want more of this, be sure to DIG out his album, "Davie Allan & the Arrows"- "Blues Theme"
Great kick ass version
Very sensational !!! Not bad for instrumental version of Runaway because I've also heard the Ventures version. This is a bit better it would've been something if Del Shannon had a group like this backing him up. When Del Shannon died it was stated that many copied and recorded his songs, especially Runaway.
yeahhh
Sensational !!
My oldest brother had (and still has) this album back in the mid ‘60s and I have always thought it was the most exciting album ever.
Dinamite?????
That's the best one but there all good an I have them all from the first day they came out ??? 18 l P at least maybe more an learn how to play them on my gutier still do them play them in my band for years they allway went over good I played at a biker wedding for the Hells Hanchmen the like them also drove the chopper into the hall it was geart fun just Hells Angels on wheels ?did
Theme From the Unknown was retitled UFO and was the flip side of Theme From the Wild Angels  on 45.......
Looks like they just got out of the juvenile detention center.
