The album Rossini Revisited Matinées Musicales Soirées Musicales Rossiniana by Britten Respighi Vienna State Opera Orchestra Conducted By Robert Zeller is a stunning tribute to the works of the legendary composer Gioachino Rossini. The album features a collection of Rossini's most popular pieces, reimagined and arranged by the talented composers Britten and Respighi.

The Vienna State Opera Orchestra, conducted by Robert Zeller, delivers a flawless performance that captures the spirit and energy of Rossini's music. The orchestra's precision and technical skill are evident in every note, bringing out the intricate harmonies and complex rhythms that make Rossini's music so memorable.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Matinées Musicales", a lively and playful piece that showcases the orchestra's versatility and range. The delicate interplay between the different sections of the orchestra creates a sense of excitement and joy that is infectious.

Another highlight of the album is "Soirées Musicales", a more subdued piece that showcases the orchestra's ability to convey emotion and depth. The haunting melody and subtle harmonies create a sense of melancholy and longing that is both beautiful and haunting.

About Britten Respighi Vienna State Opera Orchestra Conducted By Robert Zeller

British composer, conductor, and pianist. Born: November 22, 1913, in Lowestoft, UK - died: December 04, 1976, in Aldeburgh, UK. He showed talent from an early age, and first came to public attention with the a cappella choral work A Boy Was Born in 1934. With the premiere of his opera Peter Grimes in 1945, he leapt to international fame. For the next fifteen years he devoted much of his compositional attention to writing operas, establishing him as one of the leading 20th century figures in this genre. Britten's interests as a composer were wide-ranging; he produced important music in such varied genres as orchestral, choral, solo vocal (much of it written for the tenor Peter Pears), chamber and instrumental, as well as film music. He also took a great interest in writing music for children and amateur performers, and was a fine pianist and conductor. One of Britten's most important works, The War Requiem was completed 20 December 1961, and first performed 30 May 1962. Britten received many prizes and honors, including becoming a Companion of Honour in 1952, and a member of the Order of Merit in 1965.
