Boris With Merzbow - Gensho

Boris and Merzbow's collaborative album, Gensho, is a mesmerizing and intense sonic experience that defies categorization. The album is divided into two parts: the first features Boris performing their own compositions, while the second is Merzbow's remix of those same tracks.
The first part of the album showcases Boris' signature blend of heavy, distorted guitars, atmospheric textures, and dynamic song structures. From the opening track, "Farewell," the listener is immediately drawn into a world of crushing riffs and hypnotic grooves. "Heavy Rain" is another standout track, with its pulsing rhythms and haunting vocals.
The second part of the album, Merzbow's remix of Boris' tracks, takes the listener on a journey through a dizzying array of electronic sounds and textures. The remixes are often abrasive and disorienting, but always compelling. "Vomitself" is a particularly intense track, with its distorted vocals and frenzied beats.

Japanese sludge/doom metal band formed during the early 90s. Their name is taken from a song of the same name. Also known as Üê¹.
