Review by Andrew Caton

American Elm's album, Into the Light Within, is a captivating and emotional journey through the ups and downs of life. The band's unique blend of indie, folk, and rock elements creates a sound that is both familiar and fresh.

The album opens with the hauntingly beautiful track "The Great Unknown," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The lyrics are introspective and introspective, with lead singer Michael Thomas Connolly's voice conveying a sense of vulnerability and honesty.

Throughout the album, American Elm explores themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. "Something in the Water" is a standout track, with its catchy melody and poignant lyrics about the search for meaning in life.

The instrumentation on Into the Light Within is equally impressive. The band incorporates a variety of instruments, including banjo, mandolin, and trumpet, to create a rich and dynamic sound that keeps the listener engaged.
