Matilda is the second studio album by British indie rock band alt-J, released in 2014. The album presents a rich and complex sound, incorporating a wide range of musical influences, from folk and pop to electronic and experimental music.
alt-J's unique blend of styles and genres is showcased in tracks like "Hunger of the Pine," which features a haunting melody and a sample from Miley Cyrus' "4x4," and "Every Other Freckle," a sensual and playful song with a catchy chorus.
The album also includes some of alt-J's most introspective and introspective tracks, such as "Warm Foothills," which features guest vocals from Conor Oberst and Lianne La Havas, and "Choice Kingdom," a dreamy and atmospheric ballad.
