Review by Mike Baker

The album All For A Reason by Alessi is a soulful and introspective collection of songs that showcase the singer's talent for storytelling and emotive vocals. The album features a mix of acoustic and electronic instrumentation, with lush arrangements that complement the intimate nature of the lyrics.

From the haunting ballad "Wives" to the upbeat and catchy "Cut You Loose," Alessi's vocals are consistently strong and expressive, conveying a range of emotions from heartbreak to hope. The album's standout track is "Still," a poignant meditation on loss and the passage of time that showcases Alessi's ability to craft a memorable melody and deliver it with sincerity and grace.

Stop it comes
Time it goes
All in all
The tide still flows
Why do we fear the end
Long lonely roads must end
Too many people clinging to their past
Dwelling on their future

Give it you care
Take when it's there
A longer time to breathe the air
Too many people cry thinking it's over
But when it's over, it's not really over....

Life's a corridor, Death's just the first door
Soul travelin' natural projection
Green garden intense affection
When it's over, it's not really over....

Gambling casino, black limousines
All the women you need
Holes in your shoes always feelin' the blues
Who makes the choice, who makes the choice
We take on this body, and we can do it
As we please

Self molestation, self preservation

Sleep, sleep, sleep,open window
See the sky
Through the ceiling open wide

And you've got to make it back
Cause we'll see you in your next life
Ooh you got to make it back

Rising, rising, rising, rising

Why do we fear the end
Long lonely roads must end
Too many people clinging to their past
Dwelling on their future

Give it you care
Take when it's there
Longer time to breathe the air
Supertramp?
No Alessi.
This was my all time fave ! ??????????
She was floating around
On her air,cushion
Sun beatin'down
And all the men are lookin'
Bedroom eyes,paralyze
Sure made us think we were the ones

Movin'up and down
On that air cushion
Makin' us feel like we were
There not lookin'

Hey there good lookin'
You make me wish i was an
Air cushion

Chorus
Air cushion, bring it around
Air cushion, turn around, turn around
Air cushion, Air cushion

Get her legs wrapped around
That air cushion
Sweat on her brow
And then she starts strokin'
Palm Springs, Fancy Hotel
Sunshine lady
Really makes me swell

Chorus

OMG I'm 8 again! Flying my rubber powered plane and playing outside with friends til dark!
My father knew them through his work. They came over with Lori for Sunday dinner (which means in the afternoon if you're Italian) and I was maybe 17 or 18. They were really nice and Lori was so beautiful and petite. In their earlier days they were in a band called Barnaby Bye . On that album there is a song called Jessie Girl written by Peppy Castro. Forty years later, it still warms my heart and makes me cry --such a beautiful yet upbeat song paying tribute to an elderly woman in the neighborhood. Whoever's reading this, please type in Barnaby Bye and then Jessie Girl. Gotta listen to this song.
O my comment 6 years ago is still here. I love this song very much! It's my name.❤
I can't tell you what I think of works like that.I feel so nostalgic.I remember it from when I was very young.I was singing it at the time on a tram going to a fairground with my cousin once and my cousin said how lovely it was how I sang it! Especially when I went doo-aa doo-aa!
They wouldn't be able to produce something like this these days they just don't have the talent any more.
Oh Lori! I noticed one thing I LIVE for songs like this! If it were the last song I ever heard I wouldn't have enough of it! A song I have known for well over 50 years! They make me feel as though I've been born again! Dooo-Aaaaah!
I remember I was 13, looking after my younger brother in the summer holidays. When I got my pocket money I was straight down to Woolworths to buy my 45rpm record. I loved it then and is still one of m all time favourite records I play often. From sharon.
They make me feel as though I've been born again.Delicious song from my very early childhood which I remember with delight since then! Nothing is even the fingernail of that these days!
