For Your Love is the debut album of Ace Kefford Stand, a band that showcases a blend of rock, pop, and psychedelic music. The album features 12 tracks that are a mix of both original compositions and covers. The band's sound is characterized by their use of electric guitars, keyboards, and harmonies.
The album opens with the titular track "For Your Love," a cover of the classic song by The Yardbirds. The band puts their own spin on the song, adding a heavier guitar riff and a more prominent bassline. Other covers on the album include "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix and "You Really Got Me" by The Kinks.
The original tracks on the album are just as impressive. "Gravy Booby Jam" is a funky instrumental that showcases the band's musical prowess. "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing" is a slower, more introspective track that features haunting harmonies and a melancholic melody.
Very Vanilla Fudge inspired.
To comply with Atlantic Record's agreement with AKS, a second single was recorded titled 'This World's An Apple'. The artists on the label were named as "Big Bertha featuring Ace Kefford". The song was written by John Bromley (who also played piano on the recording). 'Gravy Booby Jamm' was also used as B side to this single.
