The Golden Age of Stax. The Memphis Sound that helped write the history of music in America. So many memories, such great songs, a time defined by it all.

My late husband and I danced to this record. He was a Vietnam vet. Can't listen to this without thinking about him. I still miss him terribly. God rest his soul.
A fool I was for so long . The whole time I had that woman that was true and loved me all along. Lucky she stayed but always trying to make it up to her .. young and selfish I love her first now. Her smile comforts me even when I'm wrong.
William Bell, nuff said!!!
so much ….so much thing wake up in my head when I hear this son...….good and sad
I didn't get this 45 until the 80s. Passion in that groove. Awesome song.
.Memphis soul at its best..went past Stax Studios everyday on my way to school ..not sure why this version is so much better than the album version...unfortunately I have no idea where my 45 copy is....at one point Memphis was the hotspot for making music ..Stax.along with Willie Mitchell's Hi Records featuring Al Green and American Studios and not far away... Muscle Shoals Alabama where a lot of the Atlantic Records artists such as Wilson Pickett and Aretha Franklin
Memphis and Muscle Shoals ..the home of Southern Soul
Anybody can change Eb!
I love this song ???
