Watermelon Slim's album "Up Close Personal" is a stunning display of blues music at its finest. The album is filled with soulful, heartfelt tracks that showcase Slim's skill as a vocalist and guitarist. From the first track to the last, the listener is taken on a journey through the ups and downs of love, life, and everything in between.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Wheel Man," a song that tells the story of a truck driver and the toll that life on the road can take. Slim's gravelly voice adds a sense of authenticity to the lyrics, making the listener feel as though they are right there in the cab with the driver.
Another highlight of the album is "I Can't Help You," a song that features Slim's impressive guitar skills. The track is a slow burn, building to a crescendo of bluesy riffs and powerful vocals.
