Woodstock 99 was a music festival that took place in Rome, New York, in the summer of 1999. The festival was organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original Woodstock festival in 1969. The album Woodstock 99 is a compilation of live performances from the festival, featuring various artists from different genres.
The album opens with a fiery performance by Limp Bizkit, who were one of the most popular bands at the time. Their energetic set includes their hit songs "Break Stuff" and "Nookie", and the crowd can be heard singing along to every word. Other standout performances on the album include Rage Against the Machine's politically charged set, which includes their hit song "Killing in the Name", and Korn's heavy and intense performance of "Freak on a Leash".
However, the album is not without its flaws. Some of the performances are lackluster, and the sound quality is not consistent throughout the album. Additionally, the album does not capture the full experience of the festival, as it only features a small selection of the artists who performed.
