Review by Adrien DEBARGUE

The Third Unheard Connecticut Hip Hop 1979-1983 Instrumentals album by Various is a treasure trove for hip hop enthusiasts. The album features rare and unreleased instrumental tracks from Connecticut-based hip hop artists from the late 1970s to the early 1980s.

The album is a testament to the evolution of hip hop during its early years. The tracks are raw and unpolished, yet they possess a gritty charm that is characteristic of the underground hip hop scene of that era. The Third Unheard Connecticut Hip Hop 1979-1983 Instrumentals album is a must-have for anyone who wants to experience the roots of hip hop music.

The album features a diverse range of tracks, from the funky grooves of "Cold Crushin'" to the soulful melodies of "Dance to the Drummer's Beat." The beats are infectious, and the production is impressive, considering the limited resources that were available to these artists at the time.

sounds a lot like sugarhilll gang
This song feels like it's structured the exact same as sugar hill gang's rappers delight. Even the lyrics are similar, is that intended?

Mr. Magic - Rappin' With Mr. Magic CLASSIC OLD SCHOOL RAP
Local stations played his stuff all the time. They also played his nephew Pookie Blow's song a lot.
This Mr Magic was from New Haven, Connecticut. If you've ever heard Super Rockin Mr. Magic from WBLS you would know that his voice sounds NOTHING like this.

I remember hearing both of them, back in the day.
