The longer Bangladesh live You'll remain in our heart in every ages.
Isn't it a pity, isn't it a shame that John Lennon and Paul McCartney did NOT come together with George Harrison and Ringo Starr for this event...☹
My humble tribute to these legendary artists ?

George, Pandit Ravi Shankar and Beatles We, the present generation of Bangladesh, cherished generation who believe in the spirit of liberation war, owe you this supreme sacrifice and will remember you forever. This concert of yours brought the pure air of great humanity to the refugee camps of Bangladesh in 1971. Like the brave soldiers of the liberation war, we, the youth of the current generation of Bangladesh, will pay tribute to you all forever.
I literally cried watching, couldn't hold my tears. The sheer amount of love for the Concert for Bangladesh that every Bangladeshi holds is unimaginable. Thank you, George Harrison, rest in peace❤

This was Tom's request. . Love is the answer
I was 13 in '71 and when the movie came out I would spend my whole weekend there watching it over and over again. Even then it was easy to understand how important it all was, but the music was ALL so epic it still amazes me. Also the first time I ever experienced eastern music. Ravi & company were spellbinding. I still crack up over his comments to the audience when they applauded following their tuning up; something to the effect of "if you enjoyed our tuning up, just wait til you hear us play". :)
Musically the nearest thing to this I've ever seen or heard was the Band's Last Waltz, but this is still totally one of a kind. It also pretty much set the stage for all of the benefit concerts that have followed. So terrible that George passed so young, and yet donald gump still lives among us...
????
You must have noticed by now that no matter how many concerts there are, countries remain poor any hunger widespread. The countries remain undeveloped. They are unable to produce enough food for themselves. There are countries who fare better even if there are no concerts. Why?
Thank you George Harrison, thank you Beatls, Bob Dilan and special thanks to Pandit Ravi Shankar. You guys will be immortal in the history of Bangladesh. Bangladesh loves you ❤️
Concert for Bangladesh ushered new dawn in our Liberation war spreading the name of Bangladesh across the globe and helped refugees. Everybody in Bangladesh knows the Beatles. Bangladeshis are grateful to the artists of Beatles ❤
