Review by Holly Connors

The Vagrants' album "I Can't Make a Friend Young Blues" is a classic example of the raw, unbridled energy that defined the garage rock scene of the 1960s. The band's gritty sound and impassioned vocals make for an electrifying listening experience that is sure to thrill any fan of the genre.

From the opening notes of "Oh Those Eyes" to the closing chords of "Respect", the Vagrants deliver a blistering set of tunes that showcase their musical prowess and undeniable charisma. The album's standout tracks include the hard-driving "I Can't Make a Friend" and the soulful "Beside the Sea", which features some of the band's most impressive vocal work.

In addition to the Vagrants' impressive musicianship, "I Can't Make a Friend Young Blues" also boasts some impressive production values. The album's sound is crisp and clear, with each instrument perfectly balanced and the vocals soaring above the mix.

Vagrants/ Leslie west ! Great psyche!!!
Exactly. The Vagrants were a neighborhood band that were too big for the small stage... Its a shame the Vagrants couldnt have continued when Les made it big. Its just that with Felix Pappalardi and later, Corky Laing, Mountain kinda HAD to be done.

I would have liked to see the Vagrants play into the 70's tho, I think they would have been commercially more acceptable. Mountain could have been billed as the heavier, much more underground sound.

Haha what do I know? :)
