Trio Mediaeval's album Soir Dit Elle is a stunning example of the group's exceptional vocal harmonies and hauntingly beautiful arrangements. The trio's use of medieval and traditional music from Norway, France, and Spain creates a unique and immersive listening experience that transports the listener to another time and place.
The album begins with the title track, "Soir Dit Elle," a French ballad that showcases the trio's ability to create a rich and layered soundscape with just their voices. The haunting melody is enhanced by the use of percussion and the occasional use of a harmonium, adding depth and texture to the track.
Other standout tracks include "O Jesu Christe," a traditional Norwegian hymn, and "Flos Regalis," a medieval hymn from the 14th century. The trio's use of traditional instruments, such as the Norwegian Hardanger fiddle and the medieval harp, adds to the authenticity and depth of the tracks.
