Public Economics, the latest album by Torturing Nurse, is a raw and intense exploration of sound that is not for the faint of heart. This experimental noise project from China delivers a barrage of abrasive textures, distorted feedback, and harsh noise that can be overwhelming at times.

The album opens with "Public Sector," a track that sets the tone for what's to come with its relentless onslaught of screeching feedback and distorted vocals. From there, the album takes the listener on a journey through a variety of sonic landscapes, from the chaotic "Market Forces" to the haunting "Welfare State."

One of the strengths of Public Economics is its ability to create a sense of unease and tension through its use of sound. Tracks like "State-Owned Enterprises" and "Fiscal Policy" build slowly, layering distorted drones and metallic clanks until they reach a fever pitch of noise.
