Bio from Facebook:
Tim Ryan (b. 1981) was a New York-based singer/songwriter, active on the circuit from 2006 until 2011.
During his five years as a touring musician, Tim became somewhat of a fixture at Uncle Mike's, The Fat Baby, The 507 and many other New York City music venues as he honed his craft the only way he knew how - in front of an audience.
In addition to his constant live work, Tim could also be found moonlighting as a sideman for various local bands and artists. While working as a session bassist at Palisade Studios in Hoboken, NJ, Tim was introduced to producer Scott Kammerer. Tim saw his opportunity and jumped right on it.
Dropping his sideman status, Tim hired Kammerer as producer and recorded LOVE AT FIRST NIGHT, his one-and-only solo album.
After the promotional cycle of the album was through, Tim joined the United States Armed Forces, and - after a six month stint - received an honorable discharge.
It was during this time that Tim moved back home and began composing music for a new album to be titled MYOPIA UTOPIA. He had also started re-visiting tracks that he recorded for an unfinished 2007 album. With a head full of ideas, Tim was ready to start moving forward with his music again. Unfortunately, the sophomore effort would never come.
On September 29, 2011, Tim Ryan lost his life in a tragic auto accident. He is survived by his father Steve Sr., and his two younger brothers, Steve Jr., and Rob.
