Review by Buster Stonham

Contexts is a stunning album by Thomas Buckner that showcases his unique vocal style and ability to blend different genres seamlessly. The album features a mix of experimental jazz, contemporary classical, and avant-garde music, all of which are expertly crafted by Buckner and his collaborators.

The album opens with "In the Wee Small Hours," a hauntingly beautiful track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Buckner's vocals are emotive and powerful, and the instrumentation is rich and complex. The album continues with "Contexts," a track that features intricate percussion and a driving bassline that builds to a climactic finish.

Other standout tracks on the album include "The Eye of Silence," a hauntingly beautiful piece that features Buckner's vocals soaring over a sparse piano accompaniment, and "Raven Chants," a mesmerizing track that blends electronic sounds with Buckner's vocals to create a truly unique sound.
