Biography
Ten Ton Slug plays riff-laden sludge metal originating from the depths of Connemara and now based in Galway in the west of Ireland.
The past number of years have seen the band build a very solid reputation supporting and touring with internationally renowned bands such as Black Label Society, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, Conan, Jinjer, Planet of Zeus and Yawning Man amongst many others and also sharing a stage with numerous prominent underground bands playing both headliner and support slots.
Along with playing to packed stages at Bloodstock 2016 and Metaldays 2018, the band has embarked on numerous self-organised tours across the British Isles and is currently gearing up for a short UK run in late March, along with UK and EU tours and festival appearances during the year. These include very prominent slots at Metaldays, Hammerfest and HRH Doom vs Stoner 2019 along with headline slots at all-day fests in Ireland and abroad.
Two studio releases ('Brutal Gluttonous Beast' and 'Blood and 'Slime') and one live EP in the last 3 years have all garnered excellent reviews, and these, coupled with powerful live performances and a strong work ethic, have resulted in an ever expanding fan base across the British Isles and beyond. After a change of bassist at the end of 2018, the band are more driven and determined than ever, debuting new material lined up for the next release due later in 2019. Ten Ton Slug are currently taking bookings for festivals and gigs throughout next year and beyond.
The Slug is hungry, the Slug shows no mercy.

"Ten Ton Slug is a TON of fun. In only four songs, Brutal Gluttonous Beast packs in a kick ass buffet of killer jams that rip, drag, and slam their way through."

Heavy as all hell and super groovy.
-Midlands Metal Heads
Their doomy riffs are heavier than a real heavy thing. Imagine trying to drink concrete and youre almost there.
