Sommerhus, the debut self-titled album by the Danish duo of the same name, is a refreshing and vibrant take on indie-pop. The album features ten tracks that showcase the duo's talent for crafting catchy melodies and dreamy atmospheres, while also exploring themes of love, longing, and nostalgia.
From the opening track "Følelsen af at blive fri" to the closing "Hvad vi ville sige," Sommerhus delivers a consistent and cohesive sound that is both nostalgic and modern. The duo's use of layered synths, intricate guitar work, and haunting vocals create an ethereal and dreamlike quality to the music.
One standout track is "Luk øjnene," which features a driving beat and soaring vocals that will have listeners swaying along. "Gåtur i mørket" is another highlight, with its melancholic melody and introspective lyrics. The album's lead single "Kys" is a catchy and upbeat tune that is sure to get stuck in your head.
