Legendary Rave, House, Old Skool, Old Skool Hardcore and Jungle DJ / producer / re-mixer & member of . Also produced Ravebreaks, Hardcore Breaks & Trance as well as many other sub genres of Dance Music. Dubbed the "Godfather of Rave" these days, he was one of the key figures in the development of the early UK Rave sound as well as helping create Jungle and Happy Hardcore. He co-owned Awesome Records, owned the SMD and Universal labels, was signed to XL Recordings alongside The Prodigy, and has worked very closely with Ministry Of Sound over the years. These days Matt runs his own successful brand / label called "World Of Rave". Resident DJ for Raindance since 1989 and then from 1991 Fantazia, Helter Skelter, Dreamscape, World Dance and tons more, he still plays all over the world on a regular weekly basis headling club events and some of the biggest Festival arenas around the globe... Co-founder and DJ on Raw FM back in the late 80's, he also had shows on Kiss FM and many guest slots on various other stations including BBC Radio 1. Slipmatt has currently been airing his World Of Rave podcast show across Mixcloud, iTunes and 16 stations worldwide every week for over 4 years now. He has also recently started a very successful fortnightly House podcast called "Slip's House" which is going from strength to strength and can also be downloaded on Soundcloud.

Absolutely brilliant, never heard a break pitch shifted to produce a cohesive melody.

Thanks for doing what you do and did Slipmatt, I was just too young to catch it all first time round, but Slipmatt radio ont' smart telly has inspired me to mangle some beats and bonk some samples about.
