I Love Movies, the album by Ray Conniff, is a delightful compilation of some of the most memorable movie soundtracks of all time. The album features Conniff's signature style of orchestral pop, complete with lush arrangements and sweeping melodies.
From the opening track, "Over the Rainbow," to the closing number, "As Time Goes By," Conniff takes listeners on a nostalgic journey through the golden age of Hollywood. The album includes classics such as "Moon River," "The Way We Were," and "The Shadow of Your Smile," all of which are given a fresh and vibrant treatment by Conniff's orchestra.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Theme from A Summer Place," which features a hauntingly beautiful melody that is instantly recognizable. Conniff's arrangement of this classic tune is simply breathtaking, and it's easy to see why it has become one of his most beloved performances.
