Peter, Paul & Mary's album "Comprendo El Rock And Roll Music For Baby For Bobbie" is a delightful collection of songs that will appeal to both children and adults alike. The album features a mix of classic rock and roll tunes, as well as original compositions that are sure to get your toes tapping.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Rockin' Robin," a classic rock and roll tune that has been given a fresh new spin. The trio's harmonies are spot-on, and the catchy beat is sure to get even the most reluctant listener up and dancing.

Another highlight of the album is the original composition "Baby For Bobbie," which is a sweet and tender tribute to a newborn child. The lyrics are heartfelt and touching, and the melody is gentle and soothing.

I lost a friend who was protesting with me in the anti-war movement at that time. He taught me this song, and this fight..May we continue to steer capitalism to a more humanitarian world. Bless you Mary Travers.
I still get chills.. after all this time
this song, along with "Zombie" by the Cranberries are two of the most powerful statements about people and war. We continue to pay a horrible price for our lizard brain, tribalistic ways.
It's been a long time since I listened to this song, but it has acquired new significance in my mind as a result of recent events in Eastern Europe. It should be dedicated to Russians who are suffering incarceration or worse because of their vocal opposition to the war in Ukraine.
This is what God sounds like when we quiet ourselves enough to hear the Deity whisper truth in our ears.
Album 1700 was one of the best albums of all tiime.
Weeping because feel like surely sadness
Anybody know where I can get a Mrs. Miller version of this recording? :)
What's the difference between war over there and the war we have here today? I ask through my tears.
So in 2021 we Healthcare Heroes who have been “resigned with cause “ because we stand our ground against coerced vaccination are your new Zeros as we suffer loss of jobs loss of income LOSS OF HEALTHCARE all in the name of government MANDATES.
We are standing out ground
One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard heart breakingly gorgeous
The song has new poignant meaning in the age of Trump. Ultimately you never get away with anything and you will be the prime witness on judgement day.
It's kinda weird hearing this song over fifty years ago the Vietnam war was hanging over mine and many other young men's heads and after serving in Vietnam I never thought I would never go back there. Now over fifty years after hearing this song im back in Vietnam! Funny how life can lead you down some unexpected roads!
I wish they would do a comeback tour! ❤️
I have not heard this song for over fifty years and and it still haunts my soul! Sam Adler
I think this is the greatest anti-war song ever written...it ought to be mandatory listening for every child, all around the world...
Sonia Sheridan Gentle and positive yet very sad and thus so haunting.
I was in Viet Nam when this came out, always thought of it as a kick in my ****
In later years, they corrected the title to "The Great Mandala
This was on the flip side of "I dig Rock 'n Roll Music. I checked it out at a friends house and I must have played it over and over, about half a dozen times. I was in the process of enlisting in the Marines at 17 years old and had got as far as filling out the papers, getting parents signature and other recommendations required of me. They were sitting on the dash of my car. A few days later, following a trip that I will never forget that's where they remained. They were never submitted.
Thank you ?
I remember my grandma used to have a cd with this song on it. Whenever I was really young I remember If constantly ask her to play this song. I can barely remember that time as I was so young but some of my earliest memories are of my grandma taking me to Sonic while this song played on the car radio. God I miss that, I was young and not wrapped up in drama and stuff. Now look at where I am, a traumatized 13 year old who constnalty finds themself in drama they didnt want to be in in the first place
Never heard of this song before. A Beatles book brings me here. I great how PP&M use different styles throughout the song, first the armonice like TM's&P's, then sing like Donovan, later they sing like Lennon (including backward guitars!), and finally armonice Beach Boys way. All I can say is: I dig "I dig rock and roll music"
