I’ve always loved this song. I’d play it on a road trip to see my grandparents . The years sure have flown by… now it makes me long for my own son that’s been gone too long to drive home and see me. ?
William looks very sexy!?
It's on my bucket list to see them in concert ?
I want that 80s themed sweater beard is wearing
Awesome ? Display Of Talent . ? Love The Oak Ridge Boys ?. Great Stuff, We grew up loving this song. It reminds me of My Brother Steve ?. Miss you,, Man, I hate myself for saying what I said on the way home from Jonesboro. I guess you know I didn't mean any of it. ? ?
Grew up in the Foothills of the Ozarks, aka The Boston Mountains but this song makes me miss Arkansas ♥️
As a child I lived in Missouri. This song always gives me goosebumps
My favorite Oak Ridge Boys song.
i USED TO KNOW ALL OF THESE GUYS WHEN i WAS COUSIN CLEM AKA CLEM JOHNSON. THE OLD TOOTHLESS MOUNTTAIN MAN & HILLBILLY.
You woke and triggered folks need shows on your local t.v. channels that have your local talent on. You all missing way too much.
Reminds me of when I left Missouri for the army. 20 years later I'm back home on Crowley Ridge right next to the Ozarks. Love this song
Man how I can relate to this beautiful song, it's so hard to go home when you been gone so long!!!!????
I love all of their songs. HOWEVER, I consider this to be their Magnum Opus. A Timeless Classic.
I can't be the only person here that was born after 2000, right?
This old song makes me cry EVERY time I hear it. Every time. I hope that somewhere somebody else feels their heart burst in the same way when it plays, it’ll echo through the valleys and peaks of my heart forever…
Great job.....Thanks William !!!
William Lee Golden's voice is perfect for this song. He doesn't just hit every note effortlessly - he has to work for it, and it fits the protagonist of this song so well.
Still stirs me 3
My eyes get misty EVERYTIME....I love sw Missouri
THIS ONE IS 35- 40 YEARS THE FIRST ALBUM WHEN I GOT TO HEAR THIS, N LOVED SINCE AT LEAST
I was fortunate to hear this live in 2011. Golden rules!
Oh my heart ?
This is my all time favorite ORB tune. Heard first when I was a teenager and played again and again and again on repeat. Just like right now. Love it!
Probably my favorite ORB song! Makes me think of Salem Mountain in Alabama and a tad homesick. And with Alabama boy William Lee singing lead, it’s even more beautiful and haunting. You feel it!
This was one of my grandpa’s favorite songs. I wish I would have paid more attention to the things going on in the background when this song was playing back then.
I love his butt @1:57?
