Metal Church's album Blessing In Disguise is a classic in the heavy metal genre, released in 1989. The album features the powerful vocals of Mike Howe, who joined the band for this album, and the guitar work of Kurdt Vanderhoof, who also wrote most of the songs.

The album starts with the thunderous track "Fake Healer," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The lyrics tackle the issue of false prophets and those who exploit people's faith for their own gain. The next track, "Rest In Pieces (April 15, 1912)," is a haunting tribute to the victims of the Titanic disaster.

The album continues with the anthemic "Of Unsound Mind," the fast-paced "Anthem to the Estranged," and the epic "Blessing In Disguise." The latter is a nine-minute masterpiece that showcases the band's ability to write complex, progressive metal songs.
