About MacLains

Swedish band from northern Bohuslän. What distinguishes them is their 50s-60s inspired rock, but above all that they sing in Bohuslän dialect. MacLains was formed in 1967 in Gothenburg as a dance band in the middle of the worst pop wave. After a series of gigs, the entire project was moved to Hovenäset on Sotenäs. Over time, there were mostly gigs in Norway until the group started recording LPs. Songs like "Abel i Klôva" and "Badgäster" were played on both radio and TV.
